1 NEW AGRICULTURAL ENGINEER FOR THE DEBESMSCAT!!
Michael Arranguez Lucernas turned out to be the lone passerof the DEBESMSCAT from the 2010 Philippine Agricultural Engineering Licensure Examination (PAELE) conducted last August 23-24, 2010. Michael is one among the seven Ag. Eng’g students who took the 2010 PAELE at Legaspi City.
This achievement manifests the continued commitment of the faculty members of the Agricultural Engineering Department in the Institute of Agriculture, and the rest of the faculty and staff of the DEBESMSCAT in the pursuit of excellence in instruction.
According to the Professional Regulation Commission, only 213 out of 475 passed the Agricultural Engineer Licensure Examination given by the Board of Agricultural Engineering in Manila, Baguio and Davao on August 2010.
Congratulations to our new Agricultural Engineer (Engr. Michael A. Lucernas) and also to the faculty of the Agricultural Engineering Department!!

DEBESMSCATSCORED 8 NEW AGRICULTURISTS IN LEA 2010!!
Eight out of 39 examinees hurdled the 2010 Licensure Examination in Agriculture (LEA) which was conducted at Legaspi City last July 20-22, 2010. Prior to the examination, the students underwent a 2-month rigid review on all 6 areas of concern of the licensure: Crop science, Soil Science, Ag. Economics, Animal Science, Crop Protection, and Agricultural Extension. The review was conducted by a panel of agriculture experts of the college composed of Dr. Danilo L. Lamela, Dr. Efren G. Cajurao, Dr. Roseller M. Jazul, Mr. Mohamad M. Dollison and Mr. John L. Lorana.
The successful examinees are:

DEBESMSCAT Produces 5 agriculturists
Adding to the list of agriculturists, the Dr. Emilio B. Espinosa, Sr. Memorial State College of Agriculture and Technology has produced its first batch of agriculturists when five agriculture students passed the Licensure Examination for Agriculturists which was administered by the Professional Regulation Commission, LegazpiCity on July 6 – 8, 2009.The areas of examination cover Crop Science, Crop Protection, Animal Science, Agricultural Extension, Agricultural Economics and Marketing and Soil Science.
Among the successful examinees were: Eduardo M. Asuncion, Jr. (BSAH); Ma. Desiree C. Asuncion (BSAH); Evangeline A. Isturis (BSAH); Reden F. Cabug (BSAF) and Mohammad D. Dollison (BSA Crop Science).
The first stint of agriculture students was made possible thru the concerted efforts of the Institute of Agriculture faculty members with the support of the administration in the LEA review conducted from September 2008 to May 2009.
The institute have conducted a motorcade around Milagros and MasbateCity followed by a testimonial program and luncheon.

DEBESMSCAT, rank 1 in Bicol Region in terms of PAELE Passers
The Institute of Agriculture under the leadership of Director Danilo A. Lamela and department chair Engr. Charlie P. Ampongan has another cause for celebration that is the 56% licensure exam passing rate of the Department of Agricultural Engineering examinees in the recently conducted Professional Agricultural Engineer Licensure Examination (PAELE) by the PRC.This makes DEBESMSCAT top 1 in region 5 in terms of agricultural engineering licensure exam passing percentage.
The successful examinees were:Engr. Marciano E. Padasas; Engr. Esther S. Aguilar; Engr. Leizel G. Corlet; Engr. Eligio C. Borres, Jr.; and Engr. Alvin C. Abinas.

The PAELE and the LEA examination success of the college was attributed by College PresidentMagno S. Conag, Jr. and the administration to hard work of the examinees, support of the parents, and the efforts of the instructors and administrators towards production of high quality graduates.
